Obviously this is not true. And it's not fanfic or poetry or maybe it is? I think it's more like free writing? Because I'm put out by the lack of Emma Watson fiction but battle to imagine what I'd write were I to write it. So yeah.

Yeah, because 'changing your sexual identity' is that simple. I know it's meant to be a fun hypothetical question wherein people admit to their fannish straightman/womancrushes but it's stuff like this that perpetuates the damaging belief that being gay or lesbian or bi etc is just a 'lifestyle choice' that people can control.
"Hmm... I feel like a bit of persecution and legal indefensibility - I think I'll 'change' my sexual orientation and be gay now! What's that mom and dad? The reverend doesn't like it?" Ok, well I suppose I'll go back to being straight then. It's all just a choice, after all, whether I end up with Megan Fox or Johnny Depp..."
*mutters darkly*
